If you have an idea for a promotion that you feel may benefit the local business community, we invite you to contact our events and promotions co-ordinator Rhonda Collins and see how the may fit in to the promotions calendar.

The Chamber has assisted with a number of events in the first 12 months and looks forward to this continuing in the future.
As a registered legal entity, Chamber is able to auspice and oversee events that meet obligations the Chamber must meet through it’s constitution and governance requirements as specified by regulating authorities.

The role of chamber in the business community

The Chamber’s role in the local economy varies a great deal, but is always focussed on the interests of it’s members and other non member businesses in the Lithgow Region. This includes all the outlying communities and not just the CBD of our city.

The Chamber has successfully worked with council to gain representation on key committees to have input on core economic direction in the local area.

The Chamber is positioned to be a platform for businesses and a strong voice at all levels of government, putting forward the views of it’s members, and ensuring that a broad reaching economic goal for the Lithgow region is shared by all these strategic partners.

As the regions economy continues to diversify and expand in coming generations, it is imperative that local businesses have their say and are in a position to benefit sustainably into the future.

The Lithgow region has a very proud heritage in coal mining and energy production which still underpins a large percentage of our economy. As this transitions into new forms of power generation, eco tourism and even the potential for decentralisation of technology and manufacturing businesses, the Lithgow Chamber will continue to lobby government of all levels to ensure that this region benefits from all the opportunities currently before it.
